“SassoMasso” Holiday House was born in 2019 from an idea of Marinella and Gaetano, in a little block of flat in Monte Olimpino. Recently renovated with an indipendent entrance on the ground floor.

The name “SassoMasso” comes from a unique characteristic: the stone in the corner of the kitchen. In the past this area of Monte Olimpino was a quarry for sasso di Moltrasio extraction. This is a typical stone of a village on the Lake called “Moltrasio” used to build both the whole building and our flat. The stone is a common element of the house. Even on the back of the block there is a terraced land, where the same stones stick out.

At last another curiosity: before becoming “SassoMasso” Holiday House this flat was inhabited by a woodworker. All the furniture inside the house was tailor-made by him years ago.

“SassoMasso” is a family-run guest house and everyone helps: Marinella, Gaetano, and their doughters, doing theirselves customer and cleaning service.
